It actually sounds as if you take a bad lath on your machine. Information technology should erase hands and other remotes should not be picked upwardly without hitting the learn push button on your automobile. It sounds similar a power surge or lightening strike may have caused a glitch in the board. They are usually rock solid unless something like that has occurred.

Hey Sweeps, thank you again for your help. I tried your instructions, in fact it had been unplugged all night. I pushed and held donwn learn button (yellow and round) for 2o seconds(little red lite) and nothing seems to happen. The scarlet calorie-free stays on until I striking a remote button. I tried property information technology less, more, rapidily. and even unhooked hard wired push button and tried procedure again. remove batteries from remote. don't know anymorel...lol... peradventure I am not clearing machine correctly? thanks inadvance for your help. D.P.

Unplug the motorcar for about 10 minutes. This resets the auto. Then concord down the learn push for about twenty seconds. The re enter the remotes into the machine. If it still works your neighbors door, their machine needs to exist cleared also.

Hi Sweeps, I take a Sears/Craftsman model 41a3516-two. I programmed some other remote for it that works but now the automobile fob opens and closes door, (not only mine) information technology seems to respond to neighbours also. I tried to reset or clear it by holding push in, doesn't seem to do anything. Thank you in advance D.P.

If information technology wont accept 5 remotes afterward clearing the board you have a bad lath. If the board is bad it will do all kinds of crazy things. You could come home and the door would be open. Information technology could have had a ability surge to the board

I haven't cleared the board nonetheless, the thing is, I use a 973LM that works perfectly and bought a 971LM as a spare, since the 973 is working I'thou afraid that resseting the lath will leave that remote useless and finish upward with 2 non working remotes

Clear the board past pushing in the orange button for about fifteen seconds. Then take your remote command and agree the button downwards on the remote control. Now printing and release the orange learn button. Yous should hear a click and the lite bulb should wink. Let me know if this works.

It sounds similar the logic board may be bad if y'all are having bug similar that. The board will just hold 5 entries and and then it will starting time dropping remotes. Try unplugging the machine, this resets information technology. If that doesn't work y'all may accept had a power surge and messed up the lath. Let me know

The homelink in both my cars have stopped working. Both were working and so they just stopped. Unable to reprogram either of them. Completely reset the opener and the two cars and so tried to reprogram them and all the other remotes. Tin program the keypad and four remotes. (the final two remotes because the cars won't program. Also, the low-cal won't go out - neither automatically nor with the button. whatsoever ideas? i think the low-cal issue is relays, perhaps same for remote?

We are having the strangest thing happen at our home - hopefully you tin assistance -

1. We accidently cleared all remotes

2. Reprogrammed them chop-chop to main garage

three. Went to add 2nd garage and information technology somehow piggybacked onto main garage (press one button and 2 doors get up/down or one of each..- note: we pressed the middle button for the 2nd garage and it didn't announced to programme)

iv. Cleared all and started over - Couldn't go primary door programmed but could get keypad.

v. Tried programming the second door - held the garage door opener button and pressed the second button and it didn't programme the car - instead it programmed the remote to open both the principal door and 2nd door at present from the same button on the same remote (external) - (We weren't trying to mess with the main door at this point..)

Do you have any advice?

Jeff, y'all may be property the larn push button in to long and causing the machine to drop the others already programmed. Just poke the learn button to program. If you want to erase the board of all programming..button the learn push button in and hold it for nigh 20 seconds. If y'all clear the programming and effort to program ane or 2 and information technology notwithstanding drops the ones previously entered..it mean y'all have a bad logic board, and it will need to be replaced. remember the machine will just concord a total of five remotes/keypads..Let me know if i can help..Joe

I sympathize how to program remotes (although reading your post, in frustration I may accept held the learn push button in to long - only it still seems to work).

My problem is programming more than than ane remote at a fourth dimension. Some are not ever here - or here together. Fifty-fifty then, trying to program 2 or 3 - plus the keypad...inevitably some don't have and I have to start over. Plainly it is a run to the keypad - and this all happens any time I may want to change Pins - fifty-fifty for the temporary feature.

What tin I do?

Simon...im not really sure on a Genie. Also, i have plant a VW to be a problem being programmed. I would try immigration the lath of all codes and then programing each again. A liftmaster/chamberlanin will but hold 5. You may have to try several times to get the car programmed. Distressing i couldn't exist more help but, i don't bargain with Genies much..Joe

I've just purchased an '07 VW Touareg and cannot plan the Genie opener to the vehicle. Is there an upshot with Intellicode i or 2 with this vehicle? Does this have any outcome? The car manufacturer'due south transmission mentions that the Homelink system is compatible with 'most' openers.

It is an older Genie garage opener and I wonder if information technology's reached its capacity for remotes - v? We had no problem with the Ford, this is frustrating - any assist or guidance would be very much appreciated.

Rod..use the remote that is working..follow the instrctions on the cars manual to teach the code to the car..oncw the car has learned the code..press and release the learn button on the machine then press and concur the push button on the car..if the machines light bulb flashes on and then off..its complete..hope this helps..Joe

Excellent instructions, but I have some updates that were missed that will assistance those having problems. When training the homelink in my 2022 Camry, I institute that I had to do both sets of training. Also, be sure and clear the homelink buttons of any previous training before you get-go. Follow the manufacturers instructions. In my Camry I have three buttons, to clear the retentiveness, I had to printing the 2 outer buttons and agree until the low-cal went out. I programmed the remote to the homelink push and to the machine. When training the button with the remote, concord the homelink push downwardly until afterward the rapid flashing and the light goes off. When training the homelink to the motorcar, hesitate after pressing the homelink push button 3 times, then press it a 4th time.

Barry..im non certain well-nigh the stanley system..They are no longer made, and i uncertainty the remotes would work due to the different frequencys used.
